Anytime I do crowdfunding campaign I use a set of crowdfunding tips that work time and time again. Email is one of the best marketing tools available. It’s also one of the easiest channels to track. In this blog post I’m going to show you how to supercharge your email marketing for your upcoming crowdfunding campaign.
Sending emails is one thing, tracking emails is another. What I mean by that is if you just send emails and have no way to track who is opening them it’s kind of a mute point. To solve this problem I use a free tool called MixMax.com. This allows me to track who opens my emails in real time and I can even pull a live report.
Where To Use It
I especially use this tool when I’m contacting journalists. I’ll send a handful of emails out with the same subject line; like 25 or so. If I get a lot of opens but no response I know I need to change up my pitch (the content of your email). If I get few or no opens I know it’s my subject line. By using MixMax I can see what part of the outreach strategy I need to fix.
It’s been said, “You can’t improve what you can’t measure.” It’s the same for crowdfunding. Crowdfunding is one big experiment. Your constantly testing to see what works.
